Welcome!
I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Minnesota- Duluth. I was previously a postdoctoral fellow at the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania (based at Yale University).
I earned my PhD in Political Science from Texas A&M University, where I was also a Predoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute for Science, Technology, and Public Policy (ISTPP) in the George Bush School of Government and Public Service.
My research examines public opinion and political behavior in American politics. In particular, I am interested in individual motivations and how motivations shape people's attitudes toward political matters. I apply this focus to a broad set of research questions related to the politics of science, social welfare policy, and the intersection between public opinion and political institutions.
